A friend of mine just told me that ‘Lady Hamilton’ and three other silent films with our dear Conrad are currently being restored by some company specialised in film restoring, here in Germany. Ain’t that great? I hope the movies will be available for all Conrad fans and not only for museums or archives. I’d love to see them some day.

Darling, I'm afraid I can't follow people with my Conrad blog. (I've tried, but tumblr keeps telling me that it's not working. :/ Or maybe I'm just too blind to see how.) Well, for some reason every time I follow someone, being logged in with my Connie blog account, it adds the person to my personal blog only. *pouts*) Does that make any sense at all? And believe me, if there'd be something like an 'inner circle' you'd be part of it already. ;D PS: You have 'Lucrezia Borgia'?!? I'm jealous. Wow. How is it? And it would be great if you would post screen caps. ^^ *hugs* Jools

Alright—just wanted to make sure I wasn’t doing anything that was keeping me out of the batting rotation, as it were. [/appallingly American sports metaphors]

I’m savoring Lucrezia Borgia in small increments. Connie’s great, of course (see: things we already knew). Apparently it was just released by a small DVD company here in the States from a rare 35mm print and overall, it’s in pretty decent shape (as I say while shuddering in horror at the two different TERRIBLE versions I’ve seen of Caligari that have no tinting and soundtracks that bear absolutely no relation to the onscreen action).

Can I just say how wonderful it is to have met fellow Veidtophiles like yourself herein? Because it is. :D {{massive hugs}}
