The fact that Caligari’s Cesare and Maria the robot-girl from Metropolis were a match made in silent scifi/horror heaven?
Or maybe they’re just an object lesson in worst-case-scenario wakeup calls.

*snicker* Yes, I do. But I’m also well aware that Scots and Welsh people consider themselves very distinct entities, owing to how often I was mistaken for British when I lived there, & how invariably relieved Welsh and Scots people were to find out I was American instead. They always became considerably more friendly as well; I think my hotel manageress in Glasgow was the one who actually said, “Oh, thank God you’re not British.” XD
