He didn’t get a chance to take the penalty kick because he was going to be Portugal’s fifth kicker, but Spain won it on their fifth, so the game ended then. The ESPN commentators were puzzled why he didn’t kick first, but I wondered if he had insisted on going fifth so he could be the big game-winning hero; if he had gone first, maybe Portugal could have gotten ahead & even perhaps won. How was it unjust that he didn’t get to kick? The guy before him fucked up, & then Fabregas nailed it, so Spain won—isn’t that how the game works?.*smh* Maybe he should be first in line for penalty kicks next time, but God knows he won’t stop whining about it regardless. (You can’t tell that I dislike him, can you? ;)
