Admittedly, there are other places where people freak out without fact-checking too *cough* Livejournal *cough* But with LJ it is SO MUCH EASIER to bring the facts to the discussion. You can comment on someone’s original post with ‘hey, the things you’re saying aren’t completely accurate, here are some useful links’ and have that be a part of the discussion. Good luck trying to correct things while tumblr is freaking out over something inaccurate.
