I would highlight this post if I could. I know there are a few people I follow who have autoplay (though I’m not sure if they follow me)—before I instituted the policy of never following anyone with this dubiously-termed “feature” on their blog—but please, good folks, disable your autoplay. It may have seemed like a good idea at first, but it isn’t. What it is is incredibly inconsiderate & self-aggrandizing. It’s assuming that anyone who visits your blog isn’t in a quiet environment or may be listening to something else already. It’s rude & idiotic, basically.

If you want people to hear the artists or songs you like, post links to them. Forcing others to listen to your music is the single most effective way to make them automatically hate it.
