Me too. It’s also why I looove Alan Bennett, for having made this observation in the first place. When I first read this line in The History Boys, it did indeed feel exactly as if his hand had reached out & taken mine. Sometimes when certain people reblog my posts here, that too can feel like they’ve taken my hand & given it an affectionate squeeze. ♥
